That sounds simple enough. One short statement about God making the stars. Have you ever gazed at the heavens during a clear night? Or seen the wonders that are set up in the vault of the sky?

He made the stars also...

Don't -blank- and drive
I mean fill in the blank as opposed to the past tense of blink. Such as, don't program an address into your GPS unit and drive. Why not? It seems like what ever else you are doing in the car besides driving will result in some sort of trouble. That trouble can be as simple as something rolling under the seat to the extreme humiliation of getting a ticket with a whopper-sized fine associated with it.
So, I have been hearing about the "no phone zone" lately. You may have too. If I had a limo and never had to drive myself around, I would have no problem signing such an agreement. But the more I think about it, the more it makes some sort of sense. Taking your eyes off the road to type out an email or text message is really dangerous. I watched someone do just that one time. I was in the passenger seat and offered to to the messaging but my offer was declined. So I watched the driver text away while I counted the seconds. It was eye opening to me that a "quick reply" took about a half a minute to process. No one in their right mind would drive a half a minute with their eyes closed.

Inspiration
It didn't take long to find it. Sure enough, this qualified:
I think I have sat like that, gazing off to the side, with a slight pursing of the lips and my hand under my chin. Probably thinking about something silly.... Or wondering what the weather is like in Raleigh in January.... And I love that blue houdstooth dress....

Gotta get good gauge
Did you ever work on something only to have to rip it out and it looks like this when you are done? *Sigh* It was all because of gauge. Not that I didn't like the look of the thing or stitched pattern errors. Love to hate it. Gauge matters. It is king.
I was making the back to a sweater and had the bright idea to adjust the pattern and use my knitting machine to whip out stockinette rows in a flash. The clicking of the needles along the bed thrills me. I could never knit 80 stitches in 10 seconds on the sticks. There probably are speed knitters out there who could but I am not one of them!

Geo-what-ing...
There is a modern twist on the ancient game of the scavenger hunt. Geocaching. You get a geocaching unit or use a GPS, sign up for free instructions on the web site for the game, and you can start looking for the hidden stuff planted by people all over the place.

Renewal
It has been many months since I have written anything on my blog. My life took many turns- some planned, some unexpected. And a long story made short, my efforts and energies were used up after I made dinner, so the task in taking time to do some writing was placed on the back burner. The stories were not gone, just at rest and waiting for their time. For those of you who have checked for posts since last summer, I thank you for your interest, and apologize to you for making you wait so long for something new to read.
I have much to learn about so many things but find it exhilarating to try new things or see something I've never seen before. To experiment. To create. To see improvement after practice. To rethink things. To live!
One skill I have wanted to expand on is gardening. Growing up on a farm and having fresh produce right outside the front door is a way of life that you never forget. My raised bed is thawed out from winter's grasp, waiting to be of use again.
